Event Planning
For this event planning project, I was tasked with planning a gala start-to-finish for the fictional nonprofit Atlanta Hospital. In the brief, I was given an overview of the organization, event budget, official message, guest count, and number of speakers and volunteers. Using information available online from real Atlanta-area venues and vendors, I built out the concept and figured out all remaining details to complete the event vision and plan. This project was completed as part of my Event Planning Certificate from Emory University. Images used in the presentation and on this page are stock images or images from vendors’ websites.

CREATIVE RATIONALE
Bringing together the diverse members of our community, the event launches Atlanta Hospital’s campaign for a brand new facility the bold future we are building together. Hosted at the Atlanta History Center, the event design takes cues from the edutaining surroundings, bringing the Atlanta Hospital story to life as the next great exhibit. Inspired by the black and white photos that memorialize our past, the décor plays on the iconic Black & White theme while infusing it with the signature turquoise that is transforming healthcare. After guests delight in the Center’s rich depictions of Atlanta’s past over cocktails, the event’s speakers, music, and food will inspire guests to envision the community’s growth, as we celebrate Making History Together: The Atlanta Hospital Gala.
